Healthy Boundaries:

1. Build mutual respect

2. Prevent conflicts, misunderstandings, and resentment.

3. Contribute to the emotional development, security, and resilience of grandchildren.

Boundaries are:

  • Limits we set with others to protect our well-being.
  • Not about building walls but rather creating safe and respectful spaces.

To put it succinctly, boundaries can be thought of as, “respectful limits.” They are essential for building and maintaining healthy relationships. There are a variety of skills that can help us respectfully name appropriate boundaries. A key skill is becoming more aware of our feelings, needs, and values.
